Quantum Library

Welcome to the Quantum Library, one of the quieter spaces inside the Robert Day Sciences Center.

Welcome to the Quantum Library, one of the quieter spaces inside the Robert Day Sciences Center. Enclosed by glass walls that fill the space with natural light, the library offers a calm setting where students can step away from the buzz of classrooms and labs to read, reflect, or simply slow down.

At the center, you’ll see a handcrafted wooden table by the workshop of master woodworker Sam Maloof. This piece, named through the support of Harry ’75 and Jacqueline McMahon P’08, P’09, is both a work of art and a reminder that science and creativity go hand in hand.

Within the library, you’ll also find the Focus Booths—comfortable, semi-private spaces designed for individual study or small group conversations. Each booth carries a plaque recognizing the donors who helped make them possible, adding another layer of meaning to this thoughtful space.

The Quantum Library is a place for inspiration and focus—a light-filled balance to the lively, collaborative areas throughout the building.

Please make your way back to the main lobby to hear about the Atrium and other building highlights.
