How Fresh Pasta is Made

There are at least seven steps to making fresh pasta.

  1. Eggs are cracked into a volcano of flour

  2. The eggs and flour are mixed

  3. The mixed ingredients are kneaded into a ball of dough

  4. The dough is rolled into thin sheets with a rolling pin or pasta rolling machine

  5. The sheets are cut into slices or specific shapes

  6. The shapes are boiled in salted water for a few minutes

  7. The pasta noodles are served, often with a sauce
